Mr. Miracle, Andre Ethier: The King of Walk-Offs!

Wednesday night September 15 2009 , in the bottom of the 13th inning, Andre Ethier did it again!   He had yet another walk-off homerun!  That is Ethier’s 4th walk-off homerun and 6th walk-off this year!!.

This is Vin Scully’s call of that walk-off homerun

” Fastball..  High drive into deep right!  Back goes Jones!  To the wall!  Is gone!”

—Pause by Vinny while you see Ethier round the bases and the players rush to mob him and congratulate him while the crowd is going crazy and in the background you  hear I Love LA  _the victory song for the Dodgers.

Vin Scully:

“Andre Ethier who could better be known as Mr. Miracle comes up with a walk-off homerun”  “And the Dodgers hang on and beat the last place Pirates  5-4.  A Little bit a magic…”

Thank you Mr. Scully!  I never get tired of seeing this at the stadium and coming home to watch the highlights!

I played it a few times and copied the link that Buz put in his blog

Watch this bomb!

How many walkoffs does Andre have again?

I lost count after the first 20!! jk jk πŸ˜‰

    Great blog here Emma,

    love the passion

and I love the love you and Andre share. (wink wink)

Ethier is very clutch, and will be a solid hitter for years to come.

He can only get better you know? πŸ˜‰

    Ted’s Take

WOOW! EMMA this is your best post ever. ANDRE is awsome and such a wonderful player and human being. I was actually at the game when he had his first carrier walk-off….it was great and wonderful. LOVE IT! And I hope MLB & the DODGERS give Andre what he deserves….HE SHOULD BE MVP!

  3. crzblue2

I had fun going thru all his games where he had a walk-off.
Thanks! Andre is a great hitter and is being feared now by pitchers. I remember Wade Boggs used to eat chicken before every game. Andre has chicken and peanut butter!

  4. crzblue2

Thanks! I think I spent too much time reviewing those moments but It was fun. You should save that ticket of his first Walk-off and write on it “Andre’s first walk-off!” I am going to look for mines too. Yes, Andre has crazy beautiful hair. I love it that Thome just messed his hair after the walk-off September 15. I call it “Shampoo de carino.”.

  5. crzblue2

There is a poster from one of his many walk-offs that was give away. He is having so much fun ha? Oh, bring October on! I can’t wait to see him too!
I was thinking about Penny today and what will happen at Dodger Stadium when he pitches Saturday. He will take some abuse after all he is JINT now and he hates the Dodgers. I might go to the visitor bullpen side and watch πŸ™‚

I guess my post never posted???? where did it go???
EMMA I still do have the ticket stubs. That game was also my kids first game at Dodgers Stadium. They had gone to a Dodgers vs. Angels game at Angels Stadium before. GREAT GAME!
And I love Andre’s hair too! WILD!

And OH YEAH I forgot to re-type…ETHIERAHOLICS appreciate that you took your time to do the fun research. HAVE FUN AT TONIGHTS GAME….GOOOO DODGERS!

  8. crzblue2

Your posts got posted. Is that time warp problem where my response gets posted before yours. Is the mices inside the computer. Got to give them more cheese. Can’t wait what magical moments await us at the Magic castle with Mr. Miracle and the rest of the Dodgers. Thanks!
I could not play what you posted. Could that be that song “Don’t Stop Believing ..” I wonder if what they posted about is true cause I heard he was at Dodger Spring Training getting an autograph.
Glad that posts makes you happy. I like looking at them too. He sure looks like he is having so much fun on them. All of us ETHIERHOLICS love him.

Yes, sorry. It’s a video of the Journey song playing and Scully getting ready to do some dialog. I haven’t noticed until recently that I’ll hear that between commercial breaks on but I wondered how long they’ve been playing it.

  10. crzblue2

Casey seems like such a nice guy. I got a chance to talk to him in Arizona. Some of us call him TMIMITW (the most interesting man in the world) because of his beard that makes him look like the guy from the Dos Equis bear commercial. Thanks!
No, no, no. Ethierholics would not be happy with that! BRW, did you notice two of those walk-offs were against the Phillies? πŸ™‚

That article is hilarious. Eat it, Steve Perry. Ahahaha.

I like the bits I can hear of the song on the video stream but of course I never go to the stadium. It probably will never reach Sweet Caroline status but I say keep it up.

  12. crzblue2

It started late last year. Watch the video again and notice the guy mimicking singing that Journey song. He does a great job with exagerated mimicks. the crowd loves it. I saw him walking out of the stadium Wednesday. A lot of people recognize him. You read this right? right? Some are saying play it more often this weekend and some are saying they are tired of it and play something else.

  13. crzblue2

LOL! yeah, the article is hilarious. Can you see the guy on Dodger vision? It is funny watching it at the stadium. Let’s see what happens this weekend and if in fact Steve Perry will be in attendance. Game with Penny on Saturday is an early game on Fox. You know Vicente Padilla looks a litle like my brother Vic and he has been missing at games where Padilla pitches so our friends at the stadium keep joking with him about it. I should post a picture of my brother next time and see what others think. I hope he is not reading this.

  14. crzblue2

I love, love that special cutie post! All good choices!
NO NO NO! Andre can’t be a Yankee! Did you noticed a couple of those walk-offs against the Phillies :-).

  15. crzblue2

For any local Dodger fan or Giant fan, this is a a nice exhibition at the Burbank library and the panel discussion should be fun to attend . I will be there.

Author Arnold Hano and broadcaster Ross Porter, who combined have produced over a century of distinguished work in their respective professions, will share their recollections of the Dodgers-Giants rivalry, from New York to the West Coast, in a very special evening presented by the Baseball Reliquary on Monday, September 21, 2009, at 7:00 pm, in the Burbank Central Library Auditorium, 110 N. Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank, California. The discussion, which will be moderated by Jean Hastings Ardell, is free of charge and open to the public.

ETHIERHOLICS! That is the funniest thing I have heard all weekend, thanks for sharing that :] Oh, I’m not sure if anyone has answered your questions or if I’m answering it correctly, but basically, just highlight the sentence or word you want to connect a link to, then go up to the edit bar (for the blog) and you’ll see a little chain logo (I believe right by the picture logo). Then a prompt comes up to put your link in, click ok, and voila!! The highlighted area will be clickable to your link! I hope that makes sense! Let me know if it works for ya! xoxo

  17. TribeTed

Glad you enjoyed Ethier. he is a much talented guy for his young age, and is so clutch. If he were an Indian I would completely worship him!! I wish we had someone on our team that could do that, we have lost 8 in a row. GOod luck with Eith and the Ethierholics!! πŸ˜‰

    Ted –

  18. crzblue2

Thank you. Those kind of posts are always fun and for offdays it makes them nice. I wonder if there are any guys with a man-crush on any of those guys and if they would admit it. lol.
A lot of people are surprised that he has that many. Many players go without having one or maybe just one, but that that many. He sure is going to start walking more
The ETHIERHOLICS term started being used in the ITD (Insidethedodgers) blog. Don’t remember exactly who started using it it and it fits so well. You can definetly hear more of the female fan base when Ethier comes to bat. Thank you so much for the instructions you posted. I am looking forward to using it! Thanks!!!
Thank you on behalf of all the ETHIERHOLICS!
