Vicente Padilla signs with the Dodgers for One Year.

the right-hander will get $4 million plus a $1-million signing bonus and could earn another $1 million in incentives. He was 4-0 for L.A. in the final stretch of the regular season.

And no, my brother Vic does not look like Vicente!

Rest in peace Bobby Bragan.

Robert Randall Bragan was born in Birmingham, Ala., on Oct. 30, 1917. He played parts of seven seasons from 1940-48 for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Brooklyn Dodgers, playing mostly shortstop and catcher and batting .240 for his career. He missed the 1945 and ’46 seasons to serve in the U.S. military.

In 1947, he made his only plate appearance in a World Series game, delivering a pinch-hit double for the Dodgers.

I’ve been working on a post that is not ready yet but it has all the surviving Dodgers that played in Brooklyn.  Now I got to update my list to drop Mr. Bragan.   Down to 63 now.

Some friends like to tease him that he does. I have faith that Padilla will behave and do well. It is only a one year contract so he has to do well this year to get a better contract next year.

Hey Emma! Hope your earache feels better! Ya know, I’m in a quandary right now. I still love ITD, but for some reason I am finding myself posting on there less and less. I don’t know if it’s the “tone” as I mentioned it in my LONG POST, or what, but well, I just don’t know. Or perhaps it’s just the fact that I’m busy and just don’t have the time to post. What I love about ITD are the different personalities; I’m all for different points of view on the same subject. Who knows. Only time will tell.

Oh, and btw, your nieces are cute! 🙂

    Hi Carol!
Hey! Caravan has been announced!! Yippee! Chicken and Wafles! Loney and Kemp! Hope you can go!!
Earache feels better thanks! I still go to ITD too but I am glad that Josh said something. I go there more often when Josh posts as he keeps us uptodate on what is happening, but you know he posts on facebook before he updates ITD. I love your long posts! you worded it well. I don’t have time to post ’cause I post on other blogs and make my rounds to the big blue wrecking crew forum that I have a link. I need to update my link and put the other two I frequent. You might like It was created from some Dodger fans that left the Dodger forum.
Hope your business is going well Carol! Hope to see you soon! maybe at the Caravan! If you go to Spring Training, let me know. I might be there during the same time.

Okay Emma, perhaps as a season-ticket holder, you may have heard about the Caravan and such, but I just looked on and didn’t see anything. Can you give me the dates? And chickens and waffles? Loney and Kemp? Just leave me a note here!
