Pictures from Petco Park 4/9/11

Greetings from San Diego!
We got two games for the price of one! the Friday suspended game, a 2-2 tie, picked up from the 9th inning with Matt Kemp on base and no outs. Final score: Dodgers 4, Padres 2 in the 11th. W: Hawksworth (1-0) L: Frieri (0-1) SV: Broxton (4)

After a delay of 25 minutes, the second game started. Kuroda san was magnificient shutting down the Padres for 8 and 2/3 innings. Tony Wynn had a big night too.

Were you at Friday’s game in the rain Emma? I thought about you when I got back from the Angels game and found out that the L.A./O.C. rain had headed down to S.D. instead. Way to go Dodgers in both games and good luck today! I love your photos, as usual and that sign is a great one.
This is a very simple game…

When I saw the guy with the sign, I had to take a pic! great idea.
Kuroda-san was oustanding when the Dodgers needed him more. He wanted to finish the game but was running out of gas at thend. He had 100 piches. Brox came in to save it.
No I was not at Friday’s game but since it got suspended because of the rain, they continued the game on Saturday at 5ish and at the conclusion, we waited like 30 minutes for the next one. It was great getting two wins in one day.
First game we were in the first row behind dugout seats behind homeplate. The umpires walked thru there at the conclusion of the game and had out baseballs that they have in their … what should I call it… apron? Second game we were still in good seats that gave us access to the Omni club so we ate there while watching most of the game and went to our seats in the 6th.

I am getting tweets that the word hostile is understatement in San Francisco toward Dodger fans. they are advicing fans to take a cab there instead of walking or driving. Jeesh. two thugs does not make the entire Dodger fan base. The family understand that.

We had great seats both days! We actually had four tickets for the two of us. We ended up buying better ticket so two went to waste. Wish I would have known someone that could have used them but we bought the second pair the same day of the game.
