Congratulations to Kershaw for winning the National League Player of the Week honors! Kershaw took the mound twice last week against the DiamondBacks on Monday and on Saturday against the Cardinals. He pitched 7 scoreless innings against the Snakes and a complete game 9 inning shutout agains the Cardinals. The shutout extended Kershaws scoreless innings streak to 22, dating back to his May 8 start vs. the Giants.
Dodgers are in Phoenix playing the Snakes. With Capuano on the mound, the Dodgers defeated Corbin and the Snakes by the score of 6-1. Capuano’s record is the same as yesterday’s score 6-1. Harang takes the mound tonight against Kahill.
When Treanor hit the homerun yesterday I was thinking to myself “Boy, this team reminds me of the 1988 team” I was listening to the first innings on the radio on my way home. When I got home my brother Victor made the same comment. I am sure is in a lot of Dodger fans that this team resembles 1988. I want to be cautious but I love how the replacement players are stepping up.
Is scary to think that Mark Ellis could have lost his leg. Vin Scully said that the doctors said that Six more hours and they would hae had to amputate if it wasn’t for the Dodger trainer’s decision to send him to the hospital. Get better Mark Ellis.
The Kings are also in Phoenix! They lead the series 3-1 against the Coyotes. Get it done Kings! I LOVE LA! Go Kings! Go Dodgers!
I will see the games on delay when I get home. I am heading to Pasadena to have dinner and see Howie Levine sing. Some of you might know Howie. He works at Dodger Stadium and occasionally sings the National Anthem and God Bless America.
