Hyun-Jin Ryu Bobblehead night at Dodger Stadium
I thought it would have been a sellout tonight but I see empty seats in the right field pavilion an some on the corners of Reserved
Here is the Bobblehead. To me the actual Bobblehead looks like Chan Ho Park. Here is also a picture of Chsm Ho Psrk & Ryu.
This picture fron Billingsley is from yesterday. He was in the bullpen when I got to the stadium as soon as the gates were open.
Koufax Bobblehead Night
The day for Sandy Koufax bobblehead night is finallly here! Here is a picture of the BBH:
That will go nice next to my Koufax signed baseball
A nice gesture by Andre Ethier and Eric Karros Bobblehead Unveiled
The fans sitting in the first seven rows of the Right field seats got a nice surprise on Tuesday night when they received free Dodger dogs on Tuesday wrapped like this:
What a nice thing for Andre to do! I was not sitting there but my friend Lorena got the text along with the picture. Thank you Andre!
Dodgers lost three consecutive games for the first time this year. On top of that, Matt Kemp reinjured his left hamstring scoring from first base on an Andre Ethier’s double. I noticed someone getting mad in the dugout but did not realize it was Matt until afterwards. Kemp is back on the DL. Good luck Matt.
Tonight is the fourth game with Chad Billingsley against Greinke. I will be sitting in the Left Field pavilion tonight. I am told the seat is above the milk sign. Looking forward to seeing Deuce, William, Dee, Joe, Ron, Pete and the rest of the fans that sit there.
The next bobblehead has been unveiled today. It is the Eric Karros bobblehead.
Nice! I like it! It is on my birthday June 28, but I will be out of town. Not to worry, brother Vic will collect for me.
Take a look at Vin Scully Bobblehead. Matt Kemp Returns. Infield Bobblehead giveaway tonight
Thursday August 30, 2012 is Vin Scully Bobblehead Day! The bobblehead will be given to the first 50,000 valid tickets. Here is the picture the Dodgers posted today:
From email from the Dodgers:
The only way to guarantee tickets to this game, and the Sandy Koufax Bobblehead game on Tuesday, August 7, is with a season ticket plan or the 10-game Flex Plan. Individual tickets will not be made available to the general public. The Flex Plan allows you to pick the games you want to attend during the remaining Dodgers home schedule, with tickets starting at just $11.
Dodgers dropped the first game with the Brewers 3-2. Harang took the loss and Marcum the win.
Is the Infield bobblehead tonight! looking forward to seeing the whole infield of Lopes, Garvey, Cey & Russell all together.
Fiers (0-0) goes against Eovaldi (0-0). Eovaldi was brought over because of Lilly going to the 15 day DL.
It is also the return of Matt Kemp! You can be sure Dodger fans will be chanting louder “MVP”
Dodgers Streaks and Sweeps. Orel Hershiser Bobblehead Night
I was at the stadium last night and I was asking “Why the low attendance with the Dodgers in first place with the best record in baseball and Kershaw on the mound?” Well, I had forgotten the Lakers were playing. I kept getting quite a few tweets “Laker’s in playoffs” But Magic Johnson showed up at Dodger Stadium! I had my scorebook signed! I had him signed it on the sheet of the first game the new ownership took over. Stan Kasten had signed a few days earlier.

Dodgers have a five-game winning streak going. Also they had four sweeps this year. Is only a two game series with the D-Backs so will tonight be five sweeps? I will be ready with my little broom. The people sitting in my section look for my broom. They look back and ask me “Where is the broom?’
I forgot it once time so I had to improvise and make one out of paper napkins.
Is Orel Hershiser’s Bobblehead tonight!
MikeSciosciatragicillness got a campaing going to vote for AJ Ellis to the Allstar! Great idea! Here is the buttom they created and the hashtag #AJ2KC.

Hot Stove and Winter Meetings
Don’t you just love all the Hot Stove trade rumors coming out of the 2010 Winter Meetings? My head spins on one direction then another with all the rumors. Are the Dodgers going after a left fielder or Prince Fielder?
In the meantime the Dodgers have signed Vicente Padilla for 2 Million. I like this signing at this price. Padilla must like it here in LA.
Note also that SABR will be at booth #1907 during the Baseball Trade Show at the Winter Meetings, December 6-8.
The McCourt divorce.
And just to make things more …..interesting for the Dodgers, the judge has ruled in favor of Jaime McCourt so she owns 50% of the team. These two have not played nice since the divorce started so what now? Do we move into appeal hell now? Does she get her office back? Do they sell the team? What does Selig have to say? Stay tune for more of “As The Dodgers turns”
Dodgers: 994, Cardinals: 993. Check out the Adventures of Lil’ Matt
Alber Pujols and Matt holliday went 0 for 8!
With Chad Billingsley win last night against the Cardinals:
The all time record between these two teams stands at:
Cardinals 993
Dodgers 994
But the 2009 record stands at Dodgers 2, Cardinals 4.
Lets see what tonight brings when 21 year old Clayton Kershaw goes against Adam Wainwright.
Tonight is also Matt Kemp’s bobblehead!

I LOVE LA!
Cardinals sign 42 year old Smoltz. He is expected to join the team on Thursday and will wear uniform #30..
short today as I am
I am buried in work and I got to go to the game!
The Chad going for #10 on Manny’s Bobblehead night!
Tonight is Manny’s bobblehead night and as expected the game was declared a sellout a few days back. With Manny being hit on the wrist by Homer Bailey last night, we are not sure if he will play. We were put at ease when it was announced at the stadium that the X-Rays were negative.
Chad Billingsley, chasing that illusive win #10 goes against Bronson Arroyo. . Good luck Billz!
Kiss-Cam and James Loney. Last Saturday when they were showing on the big screen couples kissing, they showed a young woman with a very colorful sign saying “Kiss Me Loney!”. James Loney was not playing that night so when he saw the sign from the dugout, he came out scanning the crowd for the sign and sent a kiss. Of all the Dodger players, I think Loney is the one that is quiet and shy, so it was funny seeing him do that. When he noticed the camera was showing him on the big screen, he smiled embarrased and went and he went back into the dugout laughing. It was funny!. Usually signs are not permitted at Dodger Stadium but every once in a while fans do sneak them in.
Juan Castro and his at bat music. Juan Castro started the other day for Orlando Hudson. When they played his at bat music, you could hear all around the stadium including my friend Lore and I with the typical yells like “AHUA” when hearing a good mariachi. The name of the song is “La Negra” or “Al Son de la Negra” here it is if you want to hear it. coudl not do the youtube.

Casey Blake…Is he Mejicano? When we started hearing the Mexican song “La Negra on Tuesday, my friend Lore and I looked at each other. She said “Is Casey Mexican?”. We even got a text from my brother Vic asking about it. My friend Lore answered “well, he is a Doyer.”.
.Bowling with James Loney and company; Thursday is a day off and is the annual Dodgers bowling event to benefit the Dream Foundation. It is about $850 per person so a little too steep for me, besides I should be on the D.L as i have a bum shoulder. Still I am heading to the game soon.
With the Marlins in town this weekend, the upcoming events are:
Friday night. A tribute to Elvis Night_ Fireworks.
Saturday night.. Hollywood Star Night. with that softball game starting at 5.
Sunday afternoon: Webkinz pet Giveaway for first 15K kids 14 and under.
Oh and a new giveaway has been announced for September 14 against the Pirates: Free Dodger dogs. Not the stuff animal but the ones you eat.
Let’s go Dodgers!!!
