Adrian Gonzalez Debut as a Dodger
“Looks like a another perfect day! I love LA!” That is how Saturday 8/25/2012 turned out to be! Adrian Gonzalez was at the game in time to be in the lineup. Adrian comes to his first at bat as a Dodger with Mark Ellis and El Cochito Luis Cruz on. Next thing you know Adrian goes
A three run homerun! Welcome to Hollywood! Welcome to LA Adrian!
There were four BOOMS at the stadium: Giancarlo Stanton for the Marlins. Adrian Gonzalez, Mark Ellis and Andre Ethier for the Dodgers.
Andre Ethier breaks record of Consecutive Hits with 10 STRAIGHT HITS
Andre tied the LA record for Consecutive Hits of nine set by Ron Cey. Andre then broke that record with his 10 consecutive hit in the seventh inning. He tied a Dodger record set in 1919 by first baseman Ed Konetchy. In addition, Andre also was a triple short of a cycle. Mark Ellis also was short of a cycle.
KERSHAW gets win #12
Kershaw pitched a three hitter giving up two runs and striking out eight for his 12th win. Final score: Dodgers 8, Marlins 2.
VIN SCULLY WE LOVE YOU! WE LOVE YOU MORE FOR COMING BACK NEXT YEAR!

Dodgers with the best record in baseball (23-11) face the Diamond Backs at Dodger Stadium
It was a great weekend for Los Angeles! Lakers, Clippers & Dodgers win! The Dodgers swept the Rockies. The last game did not start well with Lilly on the mound. Then when Matt Kemp had to come out of the game with a sore hammy and then Ethier got kicked out of the game, things did not look good, but AJ Ellis said “no worries” Here I am! Boom! Homerun by AJ Ellis to clear the bases. BTW, Abreau is doing great since joining the Dodgers from the Angels. I believe he has three doubles now. I saw him at second base with a big smile :-).
.
Now here are the Snakes and Dodgers ex-Dodgers VP of Communications, Josh Rawtich returns to Dodger Stadium with his new team the D-Backs. I miss you Josh!
Matt Kemp is out of the lineup today. Rest and Get betterMatt!
Dodgers are in first place and so are my fantasy baseball team, Los Locos Azules.
No batting practice for me today but I am now leaving work and heading to the Ravine. Clayton Kershaw faces Ian Kennedy.
Tomorrow I will be sure to leave early since is Orel Hershiser Bobblehead. BTW, I saw fans get mad yesterday because they did not get an Andre Ethier bag. It said the first 20,000 fans so Dodgers ran out before the game. Get there early for giveaways especially when the number of giveaways is limited.
Go Dodgers!
Tommy Lasorda giving hitting instructions at Spring Training
Here is a short video I shot of Tommy Lasorda dressed in his batting practice jersey giving instructions to the minor leaguers on how to hit. 🙂 “You got an ax in your hand” “you are chopping the tree down” “como esta la republica?”

Happy St Patrick’s Day
Happy ST Patrick Day everyone! We are in Arizona. Going to the first game at Talking Stick for the Dodger game against Colorado. Then is back to Camelback Ranch for the game against the hated Jints. I am wearing my green jersey. Lost my phone. So fricking mad at myself but “que se la hacer” what can you do? I’ll just try to enjoy the rest of trip.

WOOHOOO!!! Can’t wait. In the meantime I went to see UCLA play USC at Dodger Stadium last night. Here are the 2012 pocket schedules we picked last night at Dodger Stadium.
Look at the upcoming promotion for Mother’s Day! An Andre Ethier bag
I had a great time sitting with Dee, Kevin, Ernest & Arturo. Arturo in the USC sweatshirt. Kevin is the one behind the green hat & Ernest with his Dodger hat.
Dodgers get some Gold and the McCourts are Out of Here! Woohoo!
What a great day in Los Angeles for us Dodger Fans! First we get the news that Clayton Kershaw, Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier win Gold Gloves! Congratulations guys!
The next news I received yesterday was that Frank McCourt agreed to sell the Dodgers!
Dodger fans are celebrating everywhere!
I am off to the SABR AFL conference in Arizona early tomorrow morning! details here http://sabr.org/latest/exciting-schedule-deck-sabr-arizona-fall-league-conference I am excited about attending and also to see Dustin Pedroia there. Maybe Ethier will also be there….
Love what John Thorn has to say about SABR here http://sabr.org/content/john-thorn-why-im-sabr-member That is the way I felt when I attended my first SABR convention this year. John just says so well. I was thrilled to meet him this year. Take a look at this baseball card from John Thorn. I got the set of Major League Writers from Terry Cannon of the Baseball Reliquary:
28 game hitting streak for Andre Ethier!
Congratulations Andre on your 28 game hitting streak! Ethier is three games away from the Dodgers franchise record of 31 games, set by Willie Davis in 1969. If you are a Dodger fan or a baseball fan you are following the streak on TV, radio, online or by being at Dodger Stadium.
I am heading to the stadium now and tomorrow I am off to go to the 2nd Throwback day for the Dodgers.
Go Dodgers! Beat the Cubs!
25 game hitting streak for Andre Ethier
Dodgers came home to the Ravine for a six game home series against the Padres and Cubs after going .500 on the road. They came back with a record of 13 wins and 13 losses for the year and it would have been a loss had Tony Gwynn Jr not saved Broxton’s bacon with a fantastic catch in the outfield.
Where Broxton has been frustrating the fans, Andre has been a hitting machine with his 25 game hitting streak. Thought the hardest would have been last night’s Padre lefty pitcher Richards. Congratulations Andre! We’ll be at the Ravine cheering on your streak!
Hey I noticed the middle sign has changed from Trader Joes to Universal Studios. Here you can see it better with Pau Gasol giving us the Dodgers Code of Conduct.
From the last homestand of the throwback game with the Braves, the sign had Trader Joes in the middle.
Another throwback game coming up Wednesday with the Cubs. Curious to see the Cubs throwback uniform. In the meantime, is Kuroda on the mound tonight. Go Dodgers! Go Andre!
