The Magic Castle! That is what Vin Scully called Dodger Stadium last night! There is a lot of magic going on at OLOCR (Our Lady of Chavez Ravine)! Magic Castle! I like it!!
The original Magic Castle is in Hollywood. Is an exclusive place so you need a special iinvitation. I was lucky to be there once.
But I prefer this Magic Castle that Vin Scully was talking about. Dodger Stadium is a magical place to watch a game.
There was a triple play yesterday by the D’Backs but the Dodgers won their consecutive #11 win at the Magic Castle.
Going for #12 tonight with Jeff Weaver making his first start. Buena suerte guerito!
Let the Blue magic continue!
I hope everyone is having a beautiful Jackie Robinson Day! I am off in a few minutes to my beloved OLOCR (Our Lady of Chavez Ravine). I got my Jackie Robinson jersey in the car!
I am still high from the great Opening Day! After Vin Scully threw out the ceremonial first pitch, I could not stop the tears when I heard Vin say “Two things, #1 In all the years I needed you more than you needed me”. “#2. Is time now for Dodger Baseball”. He threw out the ceremonial first pitch to Joe Torre. Joe came over afterwards and touched his face. Vin’s wife was wearing a beautiful baby blue dress.
The players were announced in numerical order with Tommy Lasorda being first with his #2 retired number. No, he did not have his uniform on. He only wears it during Spring Training. the players came out from the field level and the outfielders and pitchers from the left field pavilion. The last number coming out was #99 Manny.
We all heard O-Dog hit for the cycle, Andre hit two homeruns but Chad Billingsley cannot be overlooked in his great performance where he did not walk a batte rand he struck out
13. 11. Thanks LuvDodgers23 for the correction!
Wishing you all a great Jackie Robinson Day!
It was freezing and oh so windy at OLOCR. You could see some snow in the San Gabriel mountains. Davey Johnson waited too long to get Oswald who was not in top form. .
Soon I’ll be heading back to OLOCR for the matchup between Japan & Korea.
Here are some pics courtesy of my good friend in the Top Deck.

I was remembering the Sting’s song we’ll be together.
This weekend I get to go to OLOCR! Our Lady of Chavez Ravine”. That is what some of us endearingly call Dodger Stadium, OLOCR! . I get to see her in her splendor all dressed up in her Sunday’s best! I can’t wait!
I am super excited to go see the WBC finals! That USA is in the final four is icing on the cake! Congratulations to all the teams that are going into the Final 4: Venezuela, Korea, Japan & USA!!!
Can’t wait to chant USA! USA! USA!
See you soon OLOCR!
What should I wear? What shoud I wear?
I wonder if flags are allowed for the WBC. If you’d been to OLOCR, you know that banners & flags are not allowed.
pic from analogartsensemble.net I have pics like this but even if I change them to 500, is not working.
