This week’s WordPress photo challenge is Endurance. http://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_photo_challenge/endurance/
I started scanning the pictures in my iphone to see what I could use. I came across a picture and a little video I took of an oldtimer Dodger fan with a very old Dodger baseball cap. I heard him talking with an usher about his hat so I asked if I could take a picture.
His name is Paul. I caught him just before the elevator in the Top Deck of Dodger Stadium came. I knew I had a short window to do a quick little video.
Dave got the hat on August 31, 1959. This is the second year the Dodgers played at the Coliseum. He says in the Video that Sandy Koufax piched that day against the Giants. He had gone with his future father in law. At that time, the lady with him was his girlfriend. They were to marry the following week.
Dave could not remember who pitched for the Giants but I looked it up. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/LAN/LAN195908310.shtml
Jack Sanford pitched for the Giants. The Dodgers with Sandy Koufax on the mound won the game 5-2.
Dave did remember that Wally Moon hit one of his famous moonshots. Dave also remembers Willie McCovey hitting a homerun off Koufax.
Some endurance that LA Dodgers hat has withstood! The hat is 55 years old and he still wears to Dodger Stadium.
Dave’s hat, marraige and his his love lasting 55 years years and still going.
This week’s Photo Challenge is Humanity. http://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_photo_challenge/humanity/
We are asked to share a photo.

Here is a picture of a homeless woman
We don’t aks but you wonder what is her story. Here she is with her slice of pizza and other goodies that are brought by voluntees like bottle of water, a cup cake and anything else that Hiccups is collecting for the month.
Here is another picture at another Pizza project. Here she is with Hiccups.
Yes, Hiccups is a Dodger fan. Many Dodger fans volunteer at the monthly pizza projects and we wear our Blue, Dodger Blue.
Getting back to posting about the Weekly Photo Chalkenge. A nice way to get me back to the routine of posting in my blog that I have neglected. Hopefully after this post I will get back to posting more often
This week’s challenge Silhoutte made me think of a picture I took at … Where else? Dodger Stadium. Here the link to this week’s photo Challenge
I like how you can see the kid with his baseball hat
I am late to the party like always! But I still wanted to do the Weekly Photo Challenge on Culture. http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/04/26/photo-challenge-culture/
I like the diversity of cultures in Los Angeles so with that in mind I am posting these pictures:
At one of the Viva Los Dodgers festivals at Dodger Stadium.
Korean pop star Psy performing at Dodger Stadium.
Our friend James with his two sons
With amigos at Dodger Stadium all decked out in our Dodgers ponchos.

Here is the link to the Weekly Photo Challenge: http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/03/15/photo-challenge-lunchtime/#comment-165232
I took this picture last Friday before I devoured the fish tacos.
Fish tacos with orange and jicama slaw. One co-worker came back complaining that they had run out of the fish tacos. I will definitely make the orange jicama slaw.
Today I had a spinach salad with quinoa, carrots, cranberries, chick peas, edamame, pumpkin seeds and carrot ginger miso dressing. It was yummy! I bought it from Trader Joe’s. I love that place.
Enjoying my spinach salad while I check some facts in the 2012 Dodgers guide.
First picture I had it on Instagram and I was having dificulty copying it. The second picture I had uploaded it to Twitter.
